August 6 - day 42

Rain showers were the big event of the day. Three times during the morning when the rain got hard we packed up the bikes and waited out the rain. Marcee was riding in the morning. We got pretty good at quickly breaking down and loading up the bikes. For the last showers in the morning when we loaded up the bikes and it was raining so hard that it was hard to see. We decided to take the afternoon off and drove south which took us out of the storm. We went to Maple Grove to a Costco. We, or I more accurately really like the dipped ice creams bars with nuts.

In the evening we decided to ride again and this time I rode. After an hour we stopped again because of the threat of rain again and because we were driving back to Howard Lake to Our friends house - Jon and Lee Nelson.

Nothing real notable about the ride today. We did stop at the store in Ramey, MN for information. They sold turkey gizzards there, in a jar, which Marcee found interesting but did not try.
