Miles – 72 (Marcee 38.4, Larry 33.5)

Miles driven not ridden – about 12
We have rode past a lot of lakes, recreational communities and farmland the past couple of days. The terrain has become hillier than North Dakota. In some ways mountain passes seem easier because even though they are steeper you know when they are coming and you expect them. With the hills they just happen and they are more frequent. Not much wind that I remember today. I felt very good although Marcee said that she had a more difficult time getting into a rhythm today.
We got in touch with our friends Jon and Leeann Nelson who live in Howard Lake. When we finished cycling for the day we drove down to their house which is about 45 minutes west of Minneapolis. It was great! They barbequed for us and we spent the night. We have been blessed to have a bed and company two of the past three nights! Thank you Jon and Lee!
