August 21/August 22 - day 57/58 Sunday/Monday

August 21/22 - day 57/58 - Sunday/Monday

The Daily Herald in Adrian ran an article on our trip in the 8/22 edition of their paper.  The web address is http://www.lenconnect.com/ and I will see if I can get the exact link in another posting.
Another rest day in Ann Arbor.  After breakfast we headed off to the Shekinah Christian Church in Ann Arbor.  One of the Pastors, Pastor Margaret, preached on 2 Corinthians 9 and she spoke about how we should be excited about our giving both in our tithes and offerings but also in how we live our life for Christ.  This was cool because as 2 Cor 9:7 says "God loves a cheerful giver" NIV.  There are a lot of ways to give, and by ways I mean attitudes.  We can give out of feeling of obligation, expectation of something in return, or pride.  We can also give cheerfully, with gratitude in our hearts for how God has blessed us.  We can give with the simple desire and intent to bless someone else.  Through Water for Life, approximately $4.80 can give one person water for life.  Imagine if you knew that person's name...

In the afternoon we had family time at the Rolling Thunder water park in Ypsilanti.  Our niece Allison is six and she loves the water.  We all enjoyed the rolling waves in the wave pool and the lazy river float.  After that we got some pizza for dinner and headed home.

Monday - we spent most of the day around Ann Arbor and then spent the evening watching Allison at her swim lessons and then enjoying ice cream at the Spotted Cow in Adrian, Michigan.

Tomorrow Marcee and I will head back up to Grayling to continue our trip.  Mom will drive the support vehicle for the next three days so that we can ride together.  Thank you Mom!

More pictures to post hopefully on Thursday when we come back to Ann Arbor for a night.
